Indian Actress Beheaded BiographySource(google.com.pk)
An aspiring Bollywood actress was murdered by two fellow actors she 'befriended on the set of her latest film'.
Meenakshi Thapa, 26, was kidnapped and beheaded last month by Amit Jaiswal and his lover Preeti Surin in an attempt to receive a ransom payment.
She had met the pair on the set of Madhur Bhandarkar's yet-to-be-released film Heroine, where she had a bit-part role.
Thapa's mother is believed to have paid 60,000 (£730) Rupees for her release, but never saw her daughter again.
Detective have said they believe she was strangled in a hotel and her body was hacked into pieces and thrown in a water tank.
Then in a final act of callous depravity her head was thrown from a moving bus on its way to Mumbai.
Mumbai crime branch policemen recovered the body from Surin's house in Allahabad on Wednesday.
Jaiswal and Surin confessed the crime to the Mumbai Police after their arrest on Saturday night and said they were taken in by Thapa's pretentious stories about her 'affluent family'.
'The accused believed that Thapa was from a wealthy family because her lifestyle, despite not landing a big film role, hid the fact that she actually came from a middle-class background.
They plotted to kidnap her for a ransom of 1,500,000 Rupees (£18,000) and kill her after the payment was made,' a police officer said.
Thapa was a struggling actress who earlier played a minor role in last year's horror film 404 and she appeared in some TV commercials. Her Nepalese-origin family has settled in Dehradun some years ago. Like her, Jaiswal and Surin were struggling for a toehold in the film industry.
The duo lured Thapa to travel with them to Gorakhpur. There they held her hostage and called up her family demanding the ransom. The police said they told Thapa's mother that they would drug her daughter and make a pornographic film if she didn't deposit the money in the victim's account. They also took her debit card.
The mother deposited 60,000 Rupees in Thapa's account, but that didn't save her daughter.
A police officer said: 'They returned to Mumbai from Allahabad by bus. On their way they threw out the bag.'
In the meantime, Thapa's brother registered a complaint with the police in Dehradun on March 17 about his missing sister. The Mumbai Police were promptly alerted.Beautiful young Bollywood actress Meenakshi Thapar, 26, was kidnapped, strangled and beheaded by her two co-stars.

Thapar was killed by two aspiring actors whom she met on the set of her latest film Heroine.
According to the Telegraph, police say Amit Jaiswal and his girlfriend Preeti Surin allegedly lured Thapar on a trip with them to Gorakhpur, a small town known for its Buddhist temple.
During the trip, the two reportedly held Thapar hostage and threatened her mother that they would force Thapar to do pornography if their demands were not met.
The two kidnappers asked for a ransom of 150,000 rupees, which is about $28,000, but her mother paid only 60,000 rupees which is about $1,150 - and never saw her daughter again.
The couple strangled and beheaded Thapar and dumped her torso in a water tank before throwing her head out of a bus window.
A detective told the Telegraph:
“They wanted to extort money from her family. They have confessed to the crime. She was strangulated in a hotel and her body was hacked into pieces and thrown in a water tank. They threw her head from a moving bus while traveling back to Mumbai."
The couple was busted when they were caught with Thapar’s cell phone SIM card and confessed to the killing.
Authorities are hoping the accused killers can lead them to the actress’ body.
Meenakshi Thapar, 26, who had appeared in the Indian horror film 404 last year, met the two aspiring actors who allegedly later killed her on the set of her latest film, Heroine.
Amit Jaiswal, 36, and his lover Preeti Surin, allegedly decided to kidnap Ms Thapar after listening to her boast about her family’s wealth and status in Dehra Dun, in the Himalayan foothills of northern India.
They allegedly invited her on a trip with them to Gorakhpur, a small town close to India’s border with Nepal and known for its Buddhist temples, where they held her hostage and sent a message to Ms Thapar’s Nepali parents demanding 1,500,000 Rupees (£18,000).
According to police, her ‘fellow actors’ warned her mother they would force her daughter to take part in pornography films if their demands were not met.
Her mother paid 60,000 Rupees (£730) into her daughter’s account for her kidnappers to withdraw, but she was allegedly killed soon after. She was strangled to death, beheaded, and her body was dumped at two different sites as her killers made their way back to Mumbai. Her torso was dumped in a water tank and her head thrown out of the bus window in a bag on the road to Mumbai. Jaiswal and Surin were later caught in possession of Ms Thapar’s mobile phone SIM and confessed to the murder.
According to police, the couple had fled to Mumbai from their home in Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh, after Jaiswal’s wife discovered their affair.
They had moved to India’s film city hoping to find stardom in its Bollywood studios.
“We are still investigating the case and both the accused along with a police team are visiting the crime spot. We have yet to recover the body.
